Can Staff Squared Help me to Pro-Rata Holiday Allowance?
If your new staff member has joined the company partway through the holiday year, they will only be entitled to a pro-rata allowance (holiday calculated from their start date to the end of the holiday year).
Staff Squared will automatically pro-rata holiday allowance, but first, you must enter a start date for the employee. To do this, navigate to the new starter's profile, click enter start date and select the date from the calendar before clicking save.
This will prompt a new dialog box to appear which will calculate their pro-rata holiday allowance.
NB: Please be aware that this is just a suggestion. If you believe that their holiday allowance should be different, you can change this accordingly.
Once you hit update an adjustment will be applied to the employee's current year's holiday allowance to bring their remaining balance down to the correct pro-rated amount.
Adjustments are cleared at the start of the next holiday year, so when your holiday year renews, the employee will have their full year's allowance available.
