I think this could be expanded to require employees to read specific docs or messages and remind them upon log in as well as require a check box to be selected to acknowledge that they have read the doc/message. Having the ability to report on who has/hasn't read the doc/message would be nice. This would be useful in the event of a change in the HR Handbook or other important change that you want to ensure everyone reads.
